Dear Member or Friend of the Society,

The numbers are building up again after the Chinese New Year period, so that yesterday, March 5, about 30 of us were privileged to enjoy a wonderful talk given by Paola on the Canary Islands. After her talk a poll was taken and virtually everybody expressed a wish to visit these spectacular islands one day. Many thanks, Paola.

At gathering no. 137, on March 26, Lisset, from Ecuador, has kindly offered to tell us about her country, and Manabí in particular. This, to my knowledge, will be the first time we’ve had a talk based on that area, so please give Lisset your support – I’m sure it’s going to be very interesting.

Please remember that the Get Togethers were started in order to give learners of Spanish a chance to practise. Everyone with an interest in communicating in the language is very welcome to attend. We are usually incredibly fortunate to have native speakers giving their welcome support, so the opportunity shouldn’t be missed.

As usual, with the support of the owner, Aruna, the gathering will be held in CultureClub, 15, Elgin Street, Soho District, Central (go up the escalator, get off at Staunton Street, on the right, walk for a couple of minutes to Elgin Street and go down – CultureClub is on your left a little way down – or, walk up from Hollywood Road and CultureClub is on your right).

The meetings start at 7 p.m. and arriving early is really appreciated!

See you then, I hope.
